David Greenberg, BA, MD - President
Dr. Greenberg is a Family Practitioner; 30% of his practice is pediatrics and 30% is psychotherapy. Dr. Greenberg was Chief of Family and Community Medicine and Chief of Emergency Medicine at Doctors Hospital. He is Co-ordinator of Continuing Medical Education at St. Josephs Health Centre and is extensively involved in developing and implementing educational programs for GPs, specialists and the general public. Over the last several years, Dr. Greenberg has developed a special interest in health issues related to aging in men, especially andropause and has helped to develop/present several CME programs on related topics. Dr. Greenberg is a consulting physician for the Canadian Opera Company and former physician for the Toronto Argonauts football team.


Jack Barkin, MD, FRCSC, FACS, FICS, DABU - Vice President
Dr. Barkin is Chief of Staff, (Urologic Surgeon) Humber River Regional Hospital, Director of The Fe/Male Health Centre in Toronto, Adjunct Clinical Professor in Department of Surgery, University of Toronto and Past- President of the Society of Urologic Surgeons of Ontario (SUSO). He is Vice-president for Business Development and partner in CMX Research. Dr. Barkin sub-specializes in andrology, urologic oncology and mens health issues. He has been involved with over 100 clinical trials in the field of urology. Dr. Barkin is also a writer and international speaker in the field of Andropause and all aspects of Urology, and speaks at countless different media venues.


Jay C. Lee, MD, FRCSC - Treasurer
Dr. Lee is a Urologist, based in the Calgary Health Region, Rockyview General Hospital. He is a Clinical Lecturer, Department of Surgery, Division of Urology, University of Calgary. Major academic focus and areas of research include: male sexual dysfunction and male aging, female sexual dysfunction, and infectious disease. Dr. Lee holds membership in the American Urological Association, Canadian Urological Association, Canadian Male Sexual Health Council, Association Medecin-Sexuelle du Quebec, Societe International durologie.


Jerzy B. Gajewski, MD, FRCSC - Secretary
Dr. Gajewski is Professor of Urology and Pharmacology, and Director of the Functional Urology Program, Department of Urology, at Dalhousie University. His main interests are voiding dysfunction, incontinence, interstitial cystitis, erectile dysfunction and andropause. He has published over 50 papers and book chapters, and delivered over 100 presentations on these topics. He is very active member of Canadian Urological Association and is presently Vice-President. He is Past Chair of the Canadian Male Sexual Council, Past President of the Canadian Academy of Urological Surgeons, and past Chairman of 2nd North American Congress on the Aging Male in Montreal in 2007.


Pierre Alarie - Chair of Quebec Committee
Dr. Alarie is a family physician who has been working in the field of sexual medicine for 30 years. He is Associate Professor, Department of Family Medicine, Université de Montréal and Coordinator of the Sexual Dysfunction Unit at St-Luc Hospital (CHUM) in Montréal. Dr. Alarie is President of the Association de Médecine Sexuelle du Québec (AMSQ), co-founderof the Réseau de Médecine Sexuelle du Québec (RMSQ) and a member of the Center of Research of the CHUM at the Université de Montréal. His fields of interest are continuing medical education (CME), clinical research, medical practice and post-doctoral continuing education.


Gerald Brock, MD, FRCSC - Chair of Scientific Committee
Dr. Gerald Brock is Professor, Department of Surgery, Division of Urology, at The University of Western Ontario. He currently runs a large tertiary care erectile dysfunction clinic at St. Joseph’s Health Care, where he sees between 2000-2500 new consults annually. In addition to his responsibilities of resident teaching, he runs a productive basic animal research lab evaluating the impact of disease on sexual mechanisms. Dr. Brock is the author of over 130 peer reviewed publications, 20 book chapters as well as over 20 research prizes. Dr. Brock’s work in urology and erectile dysfunction is acknowledged by his role as a Section editor of the Journal of Canadian Urology Association, Andrology, Chronicle of Medicine and Sexual Health and Journal of Sexual Medicine.


Christine Folia, RPh, BScPhm, PharmD - Chair of Communications Committee
Christine Folia is Vice President, Operations at Agro Health Associates Inc. in Burlington, Ontario and a Clinical Pharmacist at the Hamilton Health Sciences. Christine has been involved with the development and delivery of numerous educational programs and articles for healthcare professionals and patients in a variety of therapeutic areas including hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, prostatitis and sexual health. Christine is a member of the Canadian Association for Population Therapeutics (CAPT), International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP).

Richard Bebb, MD, ABIM (IM/ENDO), FRCPC (IM/ENDO)
Dr. Bebb is an Endocrinologist at St. Pauls Hospital, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a consultant Endocrinologist with research and clinical interests in disorders of male gonadal function and reproductions and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia.


Richard Casey, MD, FRCSC
Dr. Casey is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario (1977), completed the Gallie course in Surgery at the University of Toronto (1982), and completed a post doctoral fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of Texas (1984). He established the Male Health Centres, a treatment facility for men with erectile dysfunction, in 1990, and CMX research, a site management organization for urologic research, in 1994. He has participated in over 50 peer reviewed publications and is presently on the editorial board of the Canadian Urologic Association Journal and the Canadian Journal of Urology. Dr. Casey continues to pursue his interest in male health as a community urologist in Oakville, Ontario.


Stacy Elliott, MD Dr. Elliott is a Sexual Medicine Physician whose interests lie in the sexual and reproductive consequences of medical or surgical problems, particularly neurological disability. She is Clinical Professor, Departments of Psychiatry and Urology, at UBC; Director, BC Center for Sexual Medicine; Co-Director, Vancouver Sperm Retrieval Clinic; Sexual Medicine consultant to the GF Strong Rehabilitation Center; and Chair, Canadian Male Sexual Health Council. Dr. Elliott participates on several advisory boards regarding treatment of erection, ejaculatory and hypogonadal disorders following surgery or injury, particularly prostate cancer and spinal cord injury. She has authored many peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. She is involved in many research trials as principle or co– investigator in the area of sexual functioning in prostate cancer and disability, and is an active faculty member and researcher of the International Collaboration of Repair Discoveries (ICORD).


Ronald Goldenberg, MD, FRCPC, FACE
Dr. Goldenberg is a clinical endocrinologist affiliated with North York General Hospital (NYGH) and LMC Endocrinology Centre. He has been an investigator in numerous clinical trials in the areas of diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and dyslipidemia, and is actively involved in CME. Dr. Goldenberg is past Medical Director of the Diabetes Education Centre at NYGH, past Chair of the Ontario Medical Association Section on Endocrinology & Metabolism, past Chair of the Ontario Association of Endocrinologists, and a previous President of the Toronto Diabetes Association. Dr. Goldenberg is a member of the Canadian Diabetes Association, American Diabetes Association, Endocrine Society, American Association of Endocrinologists, European Association for the Study of Diabetes and a Fellow of The American College of Endocrinology.


Irwin Kuzmarov, MD, FRCS - Past President
Dr. Kuzmarov is a Urologist by training, who is the Director of Professional and Hospital Services of the Santa Cabrini Hospital and Assistant Professor, Department of Surgery (Urology), McGill University. Doctor Kuzmarov’s major interests include male and female sexual function and dysfunction, testosterone pathophysiology, and prostate pathophysiology in health and disease. Dr. Kuzmarov is the past-President of Ultra-Med Research, past medical consultant to ACMI International, and past-President of the Quebec Urologic Association. He has been the Chairman of the Health Policy Committee of the Canadian Urologic Association, and a consultant to the American Urologic Association.


Jerald Bain, BScPhm, MD, MSc, FRCPC, CertEndo, BA - Past President, Consultant to Executive Board
Dr. Bain is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Medicine with a cross-appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto. Since 1972 he has been a staff physician within the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Mount Sinai Hospital, a University of Toronto teaching institution. His primary academic and clinical focus has been reproductive and sexual medicine, especially in the male, including: male infertility, male hypogonadism, chemical contraception for men, aberrant sexual behaviour in the male. For many years his attention has been increasingly concentrated on testosterone deficiency and hormone replacement therapy in the aging male. He was a founding member of the Canadian Andrology Society and its first president between 1977 and 1979 (this society later merged with the Canadian Fertility Society to become the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society in 1981). Dr. Bain is the immediate past president of the CSSAM. He was the Editor-in-Chief of a CD-ROM and print book entitled: "Mechanisms in Andropause". He is the author of a book for the general public called "So Your Child is Gay", published by HarperCollins.


Alvaro Morales, MD, FRCSC, FACS - Honorary Member
Dr. Morales is a Urologist, Professor in the Departments of Urology and Oncology at Queen’s University. Major academic focus and areas of research include urologic oncology, tumor immunology, male sexual dysfunction and male aging. He has memberships in the following societies; American Urological Association, Canadian Urological Association (Past-President), Northeastern Section of the American Urological (Past-President), Sexual Medicine Society of North America (Past-President), International Society for the Study of the Aging Male - Executive Member, International Society for the Impotence Research - Executive Member.


Roland R. Tremblay, DSc, MD, PhD, CSPQ - Honorary Member, Past President
Dr. Tremblay is a Consultant in Endocrinology and Andrology and Director of the Andrology Laboratory, Laval University Hospital Center, Sainte-Foy, Quebec. He is Professor Emeritus of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Laval University, Sainte-Foy, Quebec. Professor Tremblay achieved his MD degree in 1964 at Laval University and subsequently started training there in physiology (1965-1968). He continued his education at John Hopkins University (Baltimore MD) and the National Institute of Health (Bethesda MD), where he was involved in studies on SHBG, male hormones and receptors in target tissues. In 1970, he joined Laval University and in this period he developed in 1974 the concept of bioavailable testosterone. During the 1980’s, he started studies in anthropology in which he obtained a PhD in 1995 following fieldwork in West Africa. Professor Tremblay is a member of numerous national and international professional scientific societies and has been active in many of them in several positions. In 1998, he became President of the Canadian Andropause Society until January 2002. Recently, he became a member of the scientific advisory board and faculty of the International Society for the Study of the Aging Male.
